A natural remedy

As someomne diagnosed with general anxiety and depression, I used to take the meds given to me by my doctor but they were never great and sometimes I felt like they caused more problems?
I have done a lot of work on myself including therapy, breathing exercises, yoga retreats, experiments with diet, supplements, and reducing triggers. Now I no longer take medication. I think nature finds a way to provide a cure for most things, and for my problems this has been it. They fixed my depression, I don't feel anxious anymore, and my mood is good.
I'm not going to recommend it for others because I think that it is something you have to decide with your physician, but I will say it worked for me.

I'm not sure how best to take it because I've read conflicting reports. Some say take it for 3 weeks then a week off, others say take it for 12 weeks then come off it for 4 weeks. I've been doing 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Its a shame you can't just stay on it. Can anyone advice?

Beware, you might oversleep

These are really strong. I used other brands 5htp but these contain 300mg which is much more than my last ones. I have no problems getting up in a morning anymore. I used to be sluggish and want to hit the snooze button repeatedly but now I wake up feeling rested and awake. The only problem is they might be too good! I sleep so soundly now my alarm didn't even wake me once.
They have been great for my mood. I feel much better in myself, I feel happy all of the time and I feel like I have more energy during the day.

I take 1 before bed and I sleep like a bear during hybernation. These give me the best sleep I've ever experienced and I don't want to be without them. I have had some very weird dreams that sometimes feel real when I wake up so beware of that but for me those are quite rare. The shipping was great. Has massively helped my mood and depression. Works just as well as anti depressants without the side effects. It was my first time trying 5HTP and the 300mg dosage is a bit too strong so I suggest if ur trying it for the first time to start with 100 to 200mg. Works well with L Tyrosine as 5 HTP can deplete your dopamine levels.

This product is the best imo. I don't need something that strong to help me sleep, this is enough to knock me out.

Results come slow

I think I was expecting a bit too much in terms of how fast I would see results. No difference during the first or even second week. Then by week 3 I started sleeping better. Probably because it take a while for the ingredients to absorb in your system

No side effects like being sleepy the day after. It isn't a very strong effect anyway, so I would be surprised it there was

Stabilizes my mood

I have used this product for some time. I suffer with anxiety and depression. I'm on antidepressant but don't like how they make me feel. This isn't a substitute for them but it helps to stabilize my mood

Helps with jet lag

This is a gred product for reducing jet lag. I travel frequently and I whenever my sleeping schedule gets off because of it I use this supplement to help me get back into the rhythm

This is a great product. After going on a diet the lack of food made me restless and stressed. Staying away from sugar was a tough one. The product helped with my sugar withdrawal syndromes during the first two weeks and now they are gone.

I have been cycling this supplement on and off for awhile now. If you use it for too long with no breaks there effect is not as good. Taking breaks ensures you get the full effect when you use it

Works so far

I didn't expect much from this product to be honest. But after a week I do think I sleep a bit better. Not sure if it's working on my stress levels yet or not

Well worth trying

This product is beneficial to me. My mood has been improving. I hope that I start sleeping longer soon. My only problem with this product is that it's giving me stomach issues at times.

Still early days but I am sleeping better. I have a tendency to wake up at random times throughout the night which would prevent me from getting that deep sleep. When I take 5HTP consistently, I find that I can get a full nights sleep more often than not

Great fit

I'm trying out this together with Melatonin. It's a fairly good combination if you wanna get knocked to sleep without feeling drowsy when you wake up

Very good 5HTP supplement. I think the high strength is what separates this product from others. Normally a 5htp supplement only contains 100 mg whereas this one has 300mg per pill

This product promotes relaxation and helps you get a good night's rest. I have read that it also can help with appetite control but I havent noticed that for myself at least

I was taking 100mg from another brand before and it wasn't doing anything. I take it at night sometime after I have eaten and it helps me fall asleep later at night. I think that 300mg is a strong enough dose to get the job done while 100 is not
